Hi all, just a quick intro!
I've had an itch for a nostalgia slingshot dragster for years and it's reached the point where I need to do something about it!
Ideally I want to build from scratch and keep it as authentic 60's-70's as possible but funds aren't unlimited so it ain't gonna be a nitro car or anything!
I'd be looking at maybe 4-6 events a year hopefully, either rwyb or something like what you folks run.
I'm currently looking into what the build will entail, what it will likely cost, etc.
I'll start asking questions when I've figured out what questions I need to ask 
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing... |

I have a set of blueprints from the U.S. for a Slingshot chassis.
Where would I find UK rules or guidelines about build spec?
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing... |

What is your name? :-) Welcome!
The best next thing to do is to join Santa Pod Racers Club ( see http://www.eurodragster.com/sprc/ ) and they will send you information including the Rule book (nowadays digitally). This will give you good cross reference to what UK rules are to compare this to your plans.
Actually, I also see there is a link on that page to the 'MSA Rule book'. This may give you what you need, but there will also be contacts for technical people for further questions.
Please do ask more questions when you know what they are!
