Could we maybe have somewhere to store a list of Nostalgia web sites, I'm sure loads of us all surf and find cool pics etc, would be good if we could share what we're all looking at ?.

Also was thinking of a "how to" guide of getting involved with racing and whats needed, i'm sure theres a few people intending to race with us next year who are concerned or have questions about, licenses, log books, chassie tags, memberships, helmet and suit specs etc, I'd be willing to put something together with input and guidance from those in the know ?

Excellent idea!

I could definitely use a 'How to' guide that tells me what I need to do to get started. There's a lot of confusing information out there regarding licence requirements, MSA regs and class rules etc. I'd be happy to help out with collating the info etc. I have webspace that I use for my customers that we can borrow to host it if required too.

Tim

Ps. The one site I'd say everybody should spend $20 on is www.wediditforlove.com - AMAZING!

Phil n Tim The LINKS section on this sight has some nostalgia sites?? maybe you could get ED to update that with your favourites???.

any questions of "How to" can be answered on the forum, there is plenty of experience in our own ranks, and for me i'd be happy to answer any questions, as no doubt most other and more experienced WB members would too. i think we may even have a scrutineer who frequents the site?? ("dont know"?? could be a rumour??)

good thinking keep it up,always hoping to improve the site,,,, Sid

maybe just a thread listing the links (save Eddie adding to the links page all the time) would be good to have a compreshensive list of nostalgia sites world wide, I know I definatly need the odd fix to fire the enthusiasm !, trouble is it puts ideas in you head, some everything from blowers to bantam bodies has banded about...

agree everyone on here is very helpful, but I'd imagine theres people with questions who maybe aren't confident posting their questions on a public forum or would like to see whats involved before they make the jump and buy a car. Also little things like track procedures, drag racing rules etc

if we do a thread of good links then we would have to make it a rule NOT to reply to it, make it only for links otherwise it will just fill up. but on the net iv found some excellent sites well well worth a good read.

There is a general starting racing piece on the SPRC web site. It is obviously not specific to the Wild Bunch but is written in very general terms to try and give someone that wants to come into the sport some idea of how to proceed. Maybe that is of some use to people?

It can be found at http://www.eurodragster.com/sprc

There's also (and everyone's probably read it anyway) a good article on the MSA site regarding licensing (what you need, what to do, how much it costs etc etc) - since the 1st time you see the application form, it does get a little bit confusing - more so if you're young and can just about read *can someone slow down that autocue please*.

Fully agreed about about having some sort of what I guess you'd call "starter pack", since the 'Bunch is where most newcomers look for their 1st quarter mile kicks.

A few hyperlinks to the necessary pdf or webpage would be ideal.

good idea luke why dont you start it with what you have and state that people should not reply, but maybe put there thoughts on another post. it may not work at first but we can ask who does post not to in the future!!

Try it,,, its our site we dont need permission

perhaps Eddie could back up the listing somewhere else so we don't lose them if the site goes down again ?, would be a shame to lose them after Lukes found them all.
